Cartier, CHANEL and BVLGARI White Gold Rings Draw on Screws, Horse Blankets and the Colosseum

3 Silver-Tone Rings, the Entry-Level White Gold LOVE, Coco Crush and B.zero1, Where Each Motif Comes From and Which One Suits Your Taste

These 3 silver-tone rings are the Cartier LOVE small model, the CHANEL Coco Crush mini and the BVLGARI B.zero1 one-band ring. All 3 are made of 18K white gold, priced in Thailand from THB 49,900 to THB 71,400, and each is recognised by its motif: Cartier's screws date back to 1969, CHANEL's quilting comes from horse blankets, and BVLGARI's spiral comes from the Colosseum in Rome.

Where Each Motif Comes From, and What Each Ring Costs

All 3 are the entry-level rings of their collections, and the motif on each band is what tells people which house made it:

Model Where the motif comes from Made of Price in Thailand
Cartier LOVE small model The screws of the LOVE bracelet Aldo Cipullo designed in 1969 18K white gold, 3.6 mm wide THB 49,900
CHANEL Coco Crush mini Quilting taken from the horse blankets Gabrielle Chanel saw while riding 18K white gold THB 65,500
BVLGARI B.zero1 one-band A spiral drawn from the round form of the Colosseum, launched in 1999 18K white gold THB 71,400

What Do the Screws on the LOVE Ring Mean?

Aldo Cipullo designed the LOVE bracelet in 1969, drawing on the architecture and engineering of New York. The screws were meant to stand for lasting commitment, and the same motif later moved onto the ring.

All 3 Are Silver in Colour, and All 3 Are 18K White Gold

Silver here describes the colour. All 3 houses use 18K white gold, 75% gold alloyed with white metals, not silver as a metal.

CHANEL notes on its product page that the Coco Crush white gold is lightly rhodium-plated to brighten the colour, and for a white metal with no plating, Cartier offers the LOVE small model in platinum at THB 96,000.

How Did Horse Blankets End up on a CHANEL Ring?

Gabrielle Chanel first used quilting in 1920, taking it from the stitching on horse blankets and the waistcoats of stable boys she saw riding as a girl, long before it became the pattern of the 2.55 bag.

Coco Crush launched in 2015 with the quilting engraved straight into the gold.

The White Gold Version Costs More Than Gold at All 3 Houses

Each house sells the same ring in a yellow or rose gold version, and white gold is the most expensive of them every time:

Model White gold Gold version White gold costs more by
Cartier LOVE small model THB 49,900 THB 46,700 (rose or yellow gold) THB 3,200
CHANEL Coco Crush mini THB 65,500 THB 61,500 (yellow gold) THB 4,000
BVLGARI B.zero1 one-band THB 71,400 THB 67,900 (rose gold) THB 3,500

How Big Is That THB 3,200 to THB 4,000 Gap Against the Ring Price?

It works out to 5.2% to 6.9% of the gold version's price. BVLGARI adds the least at 5.2%, and Cartier the most at 6.9%.

None of the 3 houses explains the gap on its product pages. Only CHANEL states that its white gold is rhodium-plated.

The Luxe Addict Take on Which Ring Suits Which Taste

The page caption sorts silver-tone rings into 3 styles: quiet minimal, classic that never tires, and loud enough that anyone can tell the brand. The team pairs them like this:

  • Cartier LOVE small model — the classic
The screw motif has been around since 1969, and it is the lowest-priced ring of the 3

  • CHANEL Coco Crush mini — the quiet minimal
No lettering on the band, so only people who know the quilting will recognise it

  • BVLGARI B.zero1 one-band — the loud one
The brand name is engraved on both edges of the spiral and reads at a glance

If You Plan to Stack, Which Ring Should You Start With?

The Coco Crush mini is the only one of the 3 with no brand name on the band, just the quilting, so it sits most easily next to other rings.

The LOVE carries both the screws and an engraved Cartier signature, and the B.zero1 has the brand name on both edges, so those 2 work best as the main ring, worn to let the motif do the talking.

If You Could Only Pick 1, Which Would It Be?

For the easiest first ring to reach, the LOVE small model starts at THB 49,900. For a ring people recognise without a logo, it is the Coco Crush. For a ring where the name does the work, it is the B.zero1.
