LOEWE x On Puts the New CloudTec Phase on the Cheaper of Its 2 FW26 Sneakers
Cloudtilt Cosmic and Cloudsolo Hiker, the 2 New LOEWE x On Models, What Each One Changed and Why the Pricier Pair Keeps the Older Sole
LOEWE x On opened its Fall Winter 2026 collection on 15 October 2026 with 2 new shoes: the Cloudtilt Cosmic at THB 27,800 and the Cloudsolo Hiker at THB 32,500. Each builds on an earlier LOEWE x On model in a different way. One replaces the entire bottom unit. The other keeps the bottom unit and changes almost everything on the upper instead.

The New CloudTec Phase Sits on the Cheaper Shoe, and the Pricier One Keeps the Older Unit
On lists a different cushioning system for each model. The Cloudtilt Cosmic uses CloudTec Phase. The Cloudsolo Hiker uses CloudTec, the system On has been using up to now. Both run on Helion foam.
The gap in Thailand is THB 4,700, and the shoe that costs more is the one with the older bottom unit.

What Separates CloudTec Phase From the Older CloudTec?
On says the CloudTec Phase unit on the Cloudtilt Cosmic exposes the structure under the arch and opens up larger cavities in the sole for cushioning. Those are 2 changes you can see from the side of the shoe.
The older CloudTec uses the cavity pattern On has run for years and does not open up the midfoot structure. Anyone who has worn a Cloudsolo or a Cloudtilt will notice the difference in the sidewall before they notice it underfoot.

What the Cloudtilt Cosmic Changed From the Original Cloudtilt
On says the Cloudtilt Cosmic gives the original Cloudtilt a sleeker profile and then replaces both the sole and the upper. 3 things are new:
-
A new bottom unit
CloudTec Phase, with the arch structure exposed and larger cavities in the sole -
Engineered mesh
The upper is engineered mesh with a transparent layer set over the top of it -
Anagram stitching
The LOEWE logo arrives as stitching worked into the upper rather than applied over it

How Does a Transparent Layer Over Mesh Make the Shoe Read as Lighter?
The transparent layer lets the mesh underneath show through, so the eye reads the upper as 2 thin sheets rather than one solid panel, even though there is more material stacked up than on the earlier model.
The original Cloudtilt worked mainly through colour. The first version carried a pastel band around the upper third, and the 2025 version pulled that colour back to the tongue tip and the heel lining, as Gear Patrol set out. The Cosmic is the first time this pair has changed how the upper is built rather than how it is coloured.

The Cloudsolo Hiker Takes the Cloudsolo Frame and Adds Trail Hardware
The Cloudsolo Hiker leaves the cushioning system alone and changes almost everything around it. On lists 4 additions:
-
Custom lace hooks
Paired with 2-tone rounded laces, they pull the upper tighter than standard eyelets -
A metal buckle
Engraved with both brand logos, it holds the upper together -
A lugged outsole
Deep lugs for uneven ground, in place of the flat sole on the original Cloudsolo -
Marble rubber
The marbled rubber that has become the signature of the LOEWE x On pairing

What Are the Lace Hooks and the Metal Buckle Actually For?
Lace hooks let you pull the upper laces tighter than eyelets do, because the lace never has to thread through a hole and drag back on itself. Hiking boots have used them for decades.
The metal buckle does 2 jobs at once. It holds the upper together, and it carries both brand logos on a single piece. It is the fastest way to tell a Hiker from an original Cloudsolo from the side.
How Much More Each Model Costs Than the One Before It
The original Cloudsolo LOEWE is still listed on On Thailand at THB 25,500. The Cloudsolo Hiker is THB 32,500. That is THB 7,000 more, or 27.5%, with the same cushioning system underneath.
The Cloudtilt line is easier to read in dollars, because the earlier model has left the Thai site. Gear Patrol recorded the LOEWE x On Cloudtilt at USD 550, and the Cloudtilt Cosmic sells for USD 790. That is USD 240 more, or 43.6%. Against the standard On Cloudtilt at USD 160, the LOEWE version costs almost 5 times as much.

Why Does the Thailand-to-France Gap Land at the Same Figure for Both Models?
Subtract the French price converted into baht from the Thai price and the Cloudtilt Cosmic sits THB 5,200 apart while the Cloudsolo Hiker sits THB 6,150 apart. The raw figures differ, but as a share they come out at 23.0% and 23.3%.
That means the gap does not belong to either model. It is the same rate added on top of both. For anyone weighing a flight against a local purchase, 23% is the figure to set against airfare and tax.

The Luxe Addict Take on Which Pair to Buy First
Set price aside and the 2 models answer different questions. The Cloudtilt Cosmic changes what is under the foot. The Cloudsolo Hiker changes what is on top of it.
For city wear, the new bottom unit and 6 colourways give the Cosmic more to work with, and it costs THB 4,700 less. For anyone heading onto real ground, the lugged outsole and lace hooks on the Hiker are hardware the Cosmic does not offer at any price.
Is What Changed Worth What It Costs?
The Cloudsolo Hiker asks THB 7,000 more than the Cloudsolo it is built on, and returns lace hooks, a metal buckle, a lugged outsole and a heavier upper, with the cushioning system unchanged.
The Cloudtilt Cosmic asks USD 240 more than the Cloudtilt it is built on, and returns a different bottom unit. That upgrade reaches the structure rather than the trim.
Which Pair Should You Reserve First?
The Cloudsolo Hiker comes in 4 colourways and the Cloudtilt Cosmic in 6, and every LOEWE x On collection so far has sold through quickly. For anyone who already has a colour in mind, the colour decision usually moves faster than the model decision.
